Draw menu


The draw menu contains the commands which will allow you to add and manipulate the pipes in your FHC project.  You will see that many of the most frequently used commands can be accessed by the using the shortcut code or from the draw toolbar.

Add Pipe


You will use the ADD pipe command when you wish to add additional pipes to your FHC project filel.  You can access this command from the menu Draw -> Add Pipe  or from the shortcut code [Ctrl+A] or from the icon on the toolbar. Read more...

Copy - By Node Number


The preferred FHC command to copy pipes is the Copy by Selection command which is described in detail below, however the copy by node number although more complicated has some additional features which you may find useful.  You can access the command from the menu Draw - Copy by node number.

 

The advantage of the copy by node number command is that you can copy a arrange of pipes between two node numbers and you can also specify changes to pipe angles.

 

 

 

Start Node

Enter the start node for the first pipe you wish to copy.

 

End Node

Enter the end node number the last pipe in the range which you wish to copy.

 

List of pipes

When you you have entered the start and end nodes the list of pipes which will be copied together with the relevant data will be displayed in the list box.

 

 

 

Angle to change

If required can specify a change of angle (or angles) for the pipes.  For instance is some pipes had a 3° angle you can then specify that the copy pipes require a 6° angle.

 

 

Node to copy to

Enter the node number where you would like the selected pipes copied to.

 

 

Cancel Button

You no longer wish users copy command press the Cancel button.

 

 

 

 

Find Node...


The Find Node command will open the dialogue box as below, you can select a node number from the drop-down list or over type the node number when you press the OK button the drawing will be changed to a plan view selected node number in the centre do not wish to use the command press the Cancel button.

 

You can select find node command on the menu Draw->Find node or by using the shortcut key [Ctrl+F]

 

 

 

 

Renumber Node


The renumber node command will allow you to select a pipe and renumber the node.  You can select renumber node command from the menu Draw->Renumber node by using the shortcut key [Ctrl+R]

 

1.Select the renumber node command

2.Select the pipe node number which you wish to renumber by selecting with the mouse.

3.Enter the new node number into the text box provided.

4.Press the OK button to complete the action.
