Copy by Selection

The Copy by Selection tool is a simple and automated method of duplicating sections of pipework in the FHC project you can also use this command together with the Rotate command so you can copy and rotate pipes at the same time.

 

The Draw->Copy - By Selection command can be selected from the draw menu, use the short cut key [Ctrl+C] or from the toolbar

 

1.Select the Copy by selection command.

2.Select the first pipe you wish to copy by selecting the centre of the pipe with the mouse button.

3.Select with the mouse the Node you wish to copy the pipes to.

 

To use the command first select the Copy - By Selection command from the Draw menu then with the mouse select the first pipe nearest the source you wish to copy. Once the selection have been made the pipes will change colour to red.  Now click on the node number there you wish to to copy the pipes.

 

 

You can also rotate the pipework by selecting the Rotate command first and then select the Copy - By Selection command. You can rotate the pipe by 90,180 and 270 degrees.
