Calculate Menu

You will access all the commands for calculation the FHC Hydraulic model Which you have entered in the menu Calculate.

•If you wish to calculate all the heads in the FHC project then press the [F12] shortcut key.

•If you wish to only calculate a selection of the heads in the FHC project then you must use the Select individually or Select by group command, first and then use Calculate command.

If you are designing a system which uses a Design density then you should a specified the head area each head on the system. If you have done so when when you select the heads you will see the total number of heads and the total area for those heads displayed on the status bar on the left hand side. This will help you to select the correct number of heads for the area of operation which you require to meet the design parameters of your system.

Select Individually

With the Select individually command you can click on individual heads to select or deselect heads. The selected heads will be filled blue in colour.

Add / Amend Heads

If you wish to change the head selection after using Select individually or Select by group you can do so by using the Add/amend heads command once this command is selected click with the mouse the heads you wish to select or deselect.

Auto Pipe Size

Select by group

With the Select by group command draw a rectangular box around a group of heads to select deselect the heads from the calculation group. The heads which have been selected will be filled blue.

Calculate

If you use the calculate command without first selecting a calculation group all the heads will assume to be in operation and calculated

If you have selected a calculation group of heads by using the Select individually or Select by group command then only the heads which have been filled blue in colour will be calculated
