If you select the 2nd tab Spk Flow You will be able to perform a number of different calculations depending on the selection. Each calculation is based on the standard K-Factor formula which is generally used for fire sprinkler calculations and can be found EN 12845 and NFPA 13. It can however be be used for other types devices such as water mist nozzles, water cannons and alike. In these instructions we will use the term head for the device which is discharging the water however this could equally be a nozzle such as a water mist nozzle or other device which is discharging water.

Calculating flow from the head
If we know the head pressure and K-Factor we then can calculate the flow from the head.
In the image bellow you see that we have selected Flow in this has opened the two textboxes and which will allow you to enter the head pressure and K-Factor, when you press the Calc button it will calculate the flow from the head which will be displayed in .

Calculating the head pressure
If we know the flow from the head and the heads K-Factor we can calculate the pressure required to produce the flow from the head.
In the image below you can see that in we have selected pressure this is opened up the 2 textboxes flow and K-Factor . When you press the Calc button the head pressure will be calculated and displayed in

Calculating the heads K-Factor
If we know the flow and pressure from the head we can then calculate the heads K-Factor.
The image below you will see that we have selected K-Factor in this is opened at the two textboxes flow and pressure after we press the Calc button the heads K-Factor will be calculated and displayed in
